IWC Pilots Watch Chronograph 41

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 features a 41-millimetre stainless steel case and combines it with a dial and rubber strap in a color called IWC TOP GUN Miramar, which was developed by IWC Schaffhausen in collaboration with PANTONE®. The color’s name is a reference to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, the home of the Navy’s TOPGUN program before it was relocated to Naval Air Station Fallon in Nevada. A similar light blue shade can also be found on the t-shirts worn by TOPGUN instructors. The rhodium-plated hands have been filled with Super-LumiNova® to ensure perfect legibility in all lighting conditions. In addition to the chronograph totalizers and the small seconds, the dial also features a day-and-date aperture at 3 o’clock. The subdials are arranged in the IWC-typical vertical layout, which places the stop minutes directly at 12 o’clock to make them ever easier to read.
