IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35

The Ingenieur Automatic 35 complements IWC Schaffhausen’s Ingenieur collection with a version with a case size of 35 millimetres. The modern Ingenieur revisits the bold aesthetic codes of the Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, a luxury sports watch created by renowned Geneva watch designer Gerald Genta in the 1970s. This model stands out with a dial in IWC’s characteristic blue color.IWC has been producing watches with blue dials since the late 1960s. Among the earliest models to feature this dial color is the Ingenieur Automatic, Reference 866AD. In addition to its blue dial, this model features a case and integrated bracelet made of stainless steel and rhodium-plated hands and appliques.Designers and engineers worked hand-in-hand to define, proportion and finish every part and characteristic of the Ingenieur faithfully to a 35-millimeter case size. To achieve the visual proportions and desired ergonomics, every element had to be re-defined.
