There are just 1.959 pieces of this limited edition Alpinist timepiece available globally. This watch is a modern recreation of the original “Alpinist”, first launched in 1959 exclusively for the Japanese market which was designed for Japanese “Yama-otoko” mountain men; to be reliable in treacherous terrain. This 2021 recreation includes a protective leather bracelet, a key feature of the prototype, designed for comfort and to protect the wearer from the effects of cold metal on the skin in high altitudes. The design remains inherently practical – powered by the comfortable slim 6L movement with highly visible lumibrite on the dial and hands, easy to see in any light.
